Owen Rival’s vibrant, meticulously rendered paintings flicker between narration and abstraction. Often starring himself and his wife as recurring figures, Rival renders the familiar with luminous precision, layering saturated color and atmospheric distortion to depict not just what is seen, but what is felt.
